Creation
of a technological platform for
research concerning the eye and vision
In
2000, a consortium of researchers at the Department
of Opthalmology and the École dOptométrie
at the Université de Montréal, as
well as collaborators at other Québec institutions
received a 7 million dollar grant from the CFI.
This
grant will allow for the acquisition of infrastructure
that is necessary in order to help vision health
related research to move forward in Québec.
After a waiting period of a few months, the equipment
has begun to arrive in different laboratories
and research centres. Due to the arrival of this
new equipment, new studies will see the light
of day!
